Chris Pratt Shares First Look at DeWanda Wise in Jurassic World: Dominion

It may be a while before we get Star-Lord back in theaters, but Chris Pratt is going to be bringing back his dino wrangler Owen in Jurassic World: Dominion. While the movie is set to bring back franchise veterans like Laura Dern and Sam Neill, we’re also set to meet some new characters; and Pratt gives us a first look at the character played by DeWanda Wise (The Harder They Fall, She’s Gotta Have It).

We don’t have any details about Wise’s character yet, but we see her in the photo standing next to Owen, holding a taser. Since Owen is the only professional dinosaur trainer we’ve seen in the Jurassic World films, it would be interesting to see someone else who knows the ropes. Then again, I’m just guessing at this point.

Besides Wise, Dominion is also said to be introducing new characters played by Dichen Lachman, Scott Haze, Mamoudou Athie, and Isabella Sermon. Other Jurassic World stars like Jake Johnson, Omar Sy, Daniella Pineda, and Justice Smith are also set to make a return.

Colin Trevorrow may not have been able to finish his Star Wars: Duel of the Fates, but he does get to finish the Jurassic World trilogy which he helped kickstart back in 2015. While the movies aren’t as highly regarded as the original Jurassic Park, you have to commend Trevorrow for bringing this world of dinosaurs to a new generation of kids, and they completely took the franchise in a new direction when they released the dinos from Isla Nublar into the world.

Catch Jurassic World: Dominion when it hits theaters on June 10.
