Alicia Keys becomes the second female coach to win “The Voice.” Her champ Chris Blue won against runner-up Lauren Duski of Team Blake, third placer Aliyah Moulden (also from Team Blake) and fourth placer Jesse Larson of Team Adam.
Chris Blue’s unquestionable talent
Twenty-six-year-old Chris Blue was the last contestant to sing for the blind auditions this season. All teams were full except for Team Alicia. This was because she was ‘looking for a male voice’ in particular. Her patience definitely paid off as soon as this pop and R&B artist walked in with his Panama hat.
In his audition, he sang “Tracks of my Tears” by Smokey Robinson and the Miracles. And instantly, the coaches with full teams felt the need to push the red button. Luckily for Alicia, she got what she was asking for.
His fellow contestant Stephanie Rice (also from Team Alicia) tweeted to congratulate him:
So happy and proud of @aliciakeys and @Chrisbluelive for bringing home the win. Congratulations! #VoiceFinale #TeamAlicia

Singer and songwriter Chris Jamison congratulated him, saying:
From his very first performance I knew @Chrisbluelive would win the entire thing! Congrats man! You're out of this world! #VoiceFinaleChris

Outstanding Performances by Chris Blue
This funky native of Knoxville, Tennessee sure showed some moves when he sang his contest-winning “Money On You.” The song was personally composed by Chris Blue and he owned the stage while singing it.
Prior to the debut performance, his mentor Alicia said: “There’s not a soul in this world that’s not going to dance to this.”
He also sang R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts” with Usher, and performed a duet with Alicia Keys singing “Diamonds and Pearls” by Prince. He also wowed the coaches and audience with his take on Michael Jackson’s “Rhythmic Nation.”
