Cad Bane is probably one of the most celebrated characters to come out of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and he made his live-action debut in The Book of Boba Fett. Though we may not see any more Cade Bane in the future, we do get a behind-the-scenes look at how they brought the animated character into live-action.
This comes from prop maker Javier G. Gonzalez on IG:

“It was an honor to help Costume Designer Shawna Trpcic bring so many characters to life for Disney’s Book of Boba Fett, here’s another that we worked on, all in house, I was a little intimidated at first since the only reference I could find was the animated series, we had to think different in order to bring him to life. Shawna’s drive to deliver the best under the extreme circumstances of “TV” schedule was a challenge we all accepted,” wrote Gonzalez.
There are a lot of significant differences with Bane when it comes to the live-action version. For one, his hat is a lot wider in the animation, and his face isn’t as long. They also look to have given him sharper teeth for live-action, which wasn’t really apparent in the animation.
Though fans gushed when Bane finally made his debut, I’ll admit the character doesn’t really do much for casual SW fans. With the relationship between Bane and Boba being integral to both characters, we only see Bane for two episodes before he dies. If they really wanted to emphasize his importance to Boba’s character, they really should have found a way to have him on the show for longer.
Maybe they should have used that Luke Skywalker screentime to build on Bane’s connection to Boba instead? It’s just a thought.
