We though The Bad Batch was going to be Dave Filoni’s Star Wars project moving forward, but he has one other project in the pipeline called Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi, and it’s set to premiere later this month.
Just in, we have a new poster reveal, and it teases two stories—one focused on Ahsoka, and the other focused on a younger Qui-Gon Jinn. Check this out:

Though the series is expected to be a prequel, it looks like we’re also going to get some Clone Wars-era stories—that’s why we have a look at Obi-Wan and Anakin sporting their Clone Wars armor. While I expect the Clone Wars timeline to be prevalent with Ahsoka’s story, fans should expect that the tale focused on Qui-Gon Jinn and his old master Dooku will take place before the Clone Wars even began. We might even see Dooku commission the Kaminoans for the creation of the clone army, but I’m guessing this story will also focus on his disillusionment with the Jedi (and Qui-Gonn’s as well).
Tales of the Jedi isn’t expected to run for too long, but I’m sure if there’s positive reception, we could be looking at an expansion of the series. After all, that is what Lucasfilm did with Star Wars: Visions. I’m just hoping we get follow-ups to some of the most beloved entries like The Twins and Lop and Ocho.
Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi starts streaming on Disney+ on Oct. 26.
