Celebrate 25 Years of Titanic with 4K Re-Release This Valentine’s Season

James Cameron had dominated the holidays with Avatar: The Way of Water, but another one of his old works is coming back to cinemas this Valentine’s Day.

Here’s the announcement of the re-release of the remastered Titanic starring Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio:

Here’s the official description:

In celebration of its 25th anniversary, a remastered version of James Cameron’s multi-Academy Award®-winning “Titanic” will be re-released to theaters in 3D 4K HDR and high-frame rate. With a cast headed by Oscar® winners Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, the film is an epic, action-packed romance set against the ill-fated maiden voyage of the “unsinkable” Titanic, at the time, the largest moving object ever built.

Though I am not that much of a fan of the 3D format, I do want to see the film remastered in 4K. Though the movie was released more than a decade ago, Titanic amazingly still holds up, and it’s actually kind of amazing how Cameron manages to make three hours pass by with every movie that he makes.

With The Way of Water kind of having those same Titanic vibes near the end of the film, I think it would be great to actually see the movie again in theaters. Besides the love story aspect, the film was still  a huge spectacle, and with the modern tweaks, I’m ready to root for Winslet and DiCaprio to survive a sinking ship one more time.

Titanic returns to cinemas on Feb. 10.
