Developments
Striga busies herself with planning when Morana comes in and tells her to sleep. Striga worries that there’s no news from the forces in Wallachia so she tries to keep up with the many possibilities.
Carmilla comes in grumbling about the noise while the two complain about ironing out her scheme. Camilla insists that calling her plans a ‘scheme’ is rude, but she agrees that Lenore needs to step up with her task.
Taka and Sumi ascend from the Belmont hold. They’re both worried that Alucard is withdrawing information from them. They still don’t know what happened to Cho for one. Sumi thinks he’s just lonely and feels guilt for having killed his own father. They wonder why Alucard wants to stay. Sumi suggests giving him a gift to cheer him up.
Saint Germain slowly approaches the night creature underneath the church, its many eyes are glowing just like his stone. The creature growls at him and he runs away in a panic. Sala and the others find him running and stop him. Saint Germain tries to squeeze his way out but Sala asks him what he’s discovered.
The magician tells him that there’s been an attempt to open a portal to Hell in here. He tells Sala to flee before leaving himself.
Looming Threat
Trevor’s interrogation with the prior continues. The monk tells him they’ve been traveling around daily to spread the word of their plan. They want to bring Hell to earth. He claims the Visitor told them this telepathically. Since that moment their mission has been clear.
Sypha thinks it’s a magical spell. Saint Germain barges in and tells them what he saw. He thinks the Corridor is down there with the night creature–and it doesn’t seem to be in much pain. Sala must be working with alchemy or magic down there to enact their plan.
Trevor doesn’t want to face the monks himself, so the Judge enacts a plan to bring his men-at-arms and attack by sundown. The three of them will have to sneak in separately to the chamber.
Sala and his monks face the night creature and ask for Dracula to be brought back, just as the creature wishes. The creature is still enacting the commands from the one who forged him–Isaac. The monks take up their arms and also plan to act when the sun goes down.
Taka presses Alucard if there isn’t any way to move the castle. The two ask him outright if he’s hiding something, seeing as Alucard is trying to hide away parts of the castle from them. Alucard says there’s plenty of time for them to explore.
Deconsecration
Lenore visits Hector as he’s reading in his cell. Hector notices her ring. It’s something each of the council of vampire sisters has. A sign of their loyalty to each other. Hector thinks it’s fascinating. He then raves about the vampire philosophies he’s learned in his book.
Lenore gives him an offer, saying the power dynamic between them isn’t fair. Hector tells her he wants to be let out, but she wants something in return. She invites him to sit beside her, holds his hand, and kisses him on the cheek. Lenore confesses she likes him and that they could just leave if they want to.
Lindenfeld’s men at arms march towards the priory. Sypha asks Saint Germain how one can open the Infinite Corridor. It’s a highly complex and unstable procedure that requires will. Sypha hesitates about their plan.
The Judge calls out for Sala asking them to leave the deconsecrated priory. Meanwhile, the monks are performing a ritual with the night creature. using its blood to write a spell.
Our Thoughts:
Finally, some action! In the next episode, I hope. I’m still hooked though. I rate this a 3.5/5.
