Published 6 years ago
One death sparks a series of others. A couple of newcomers try a new business venture. After acquiring an infamous property, Castle Rock’s first Historic Bed and Breakfast opens. However, the first customers may be the last as a local manhunt goes underway. In the midst of this trouble, one is drawn into the mess unwillingly.
In this week’s episode of Castle Rock, Molly Strand (Melanie Lynskey) rescues Henry Deaver (André Holland). Meanwhile, newcomers Gordon (Mark Harelik) and Lilith (Lauren Bowles) converts former Warden Lacy’s previous house into a Bed and Breakfast. Consequently, the opening of the basement changes Gordon. As this happens, Wendell Deaver (Chosen Jacobs) experiences a strange ringing in the ear.
Home
Because of their connection to each other, Molly found Henry deep in the woods, still locked in the silent room. Molly kills Odin (CJ Jones) while his apprentice, Willie (Rory Culkin), is missing. The two reconcile during the drive back to Henry’s house. However, Henry’s problems were far from over when he steps foot in the house.
The Kid (Bill Skarsgård) was in the kitchen when Henry found him. Thankfully, his mom, Ruth Deaver (Sissy Spacek) is sound asleep as Henry checked her room. Also, Wendell safely returns home; surprised to see The Kid still staying in the house. Henry confronts The Kid about what happened, so The Kid tells him what they need to do. However, the police arrive at the scene, making The Kid run into the woods.
A policewoman who knew about Henry’s childhood harrases him, prompting Henry decides to send Wendell home. The town was too crazy, and a lot was happening. Because of this, Henry feared for Wendell’s safety. However, Wendell heard the same ringing in the ears that Henry heard, so he goes back to Castle Rock.
Bed & Breakfast
After purchasing the house from Molly, Gordon and Lilith immediately set up the B&B. The couple decides to turn the place into a historical, murder-themed B&B. As Gordon unloaded and set up the props they needed, Lilith finds the keys to the basement. When she enters, she finds paintings made by Warden Lacey. Eventually, Gordon frames these paintings and then hangs them in one of the rooms.
Later that day, the couple finally receives their first booking. However, the young couple did not find the historical tour interesting, disappointing Gordon. That evening, Gordon hears the couple having sex. Something overcame Gordon that pushes him to kill the couple. When Lilith discovers this, she helps Gordon clean up the next day. Jackie Torrance (Jane Levy) stops by to make a business deal, but the couple drives her away. As Jackie left, she could not help but feel something odd about the couple.
When Henry visits the place in the dead of night, no one answers his knocks. Henry finds himself snooping around until he makes a way into the house. After Henry discovers the room full of paintings, he recognizes The Kid’s face displayed everywhere. However, his investigation ends when Gordon discovers and tries to kill him with Lilith’s help. Fortunately, Jackie arrives just in time to save Henry from Gordon.
Unexpectedly, the local Pastor (Aaron Staton) calls Henry, informing him of Ruth’s sudden visit to the church. Also, the confused Ruth did not know about Alan’s fate. The Pastor also mentions how Ruth left in a hurry. Because of this, Henry drives off, with a trail of cops following him.
Ready
Molly’s connection to Henry made her see visions. When Molly could not control the images, she tries to use drugs to calm herself down. However, they prove to be ineffective. Eventually, Molly decides to Henry’s house to stay with him, but as she drove past her old home, she sees The Kid inside, waiting for him. Also, as soon as they spoke, The Kid reveals how much he knew Molly. The Kid needed Henry to follow him, but Henry was not ‘ready,’ so he needed Molly to bring, if not convince, Henry to him.
Castle Rock continues next Wednesday, September 5th, with “Henry Deaver” on Hulu.
