Castle Season 7 Episode 9 “Last Action Hero” Synopsis

Via ABC, we’ve got some first details to share on Castle’s Dec. 1 installment, along with a berand new sneak peek clip.

Titled “Last Action Hero” the episode sees Rick gaining the opportunity to mingle with a group of ageing “Expendables” type action heroes when he becomes attached to a case involving the murder of his own favorite action star from the 80’s.

In the clip (following the official log lines for the episode) below, Rick finds himself in a tight spot (literally) but is forced to man up in the company of his heroes.

There’s some slow motion hero walking, explosion ignoring stuff going down … but can Rick pull it off?

“Last Action Hero” – When the star of Castle’s favorite ‘80’s action movie is mysteriously murdered, Castle and Beckett delve into the victim’s secret past and pursue his killer with help from a team of aging action heroes. Krista Allen and Ted McGinley guest star, on “Castle,” MONDAY, DECEMBER 1 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Castle stars Nathan Fillion as Richard Castle, Stana Katic as NYPD Detective Kate Beckett, Susan Sullivan as Martha Rodgers, Molly Quinn as Alexis Castle, Penny Johnson Jerald as NYPD Captain Victoria Gates, Tamala Jones as Medical Examiner Lanie Parish, Jon Huertas as NYPD Detective Javier Esposito, and Seamus Dever as NYPD Detective Kevin Ryan.

Guest Cast: Krista Allen as Naomi Duvray, Ted McGinley as Brock Harmon.
