Captain America: Anthony Mackie Teases America’s NEXT Ass

It’s no secret Chris Evans had to get built when he landed the role of Captain America, and the same kind of pressure is on for his predecessor Anthony Mackie who’s set to star as the new Cap in Captain America: New World Order.
In a recent interview with the Happy Sad Confused podcast (via @etrnlolsen), Mackie teased:
“I’ve had about four costume fittings, and the round brown is looking delicious in the spandex, baby. That’s all imma say. The round brown is going to make you happy as a peanut butter jelly on a summer day, baby. Y’know what I’m talking about?”

We don’t know exactly what Mackie’s costume is going to look like in the movie yet, but we’ll probably get something different from his final outfit in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. While his Captain America outfit in the series does look accurate to his comic counterpart, I think that we need a new outfit that is more faithful to Falcon’s appearances in the films. The white elements around his head are supposed to be callbacks to his Falcon days in the comics, but since we never really got it in live-action before, I thought it kind of looked odd when he finally became Captain America.
I think I want to see the helmet back in some way, but if we’re just going with more of the same, I’m not really complaining.
Captain America: New World Order is set to come out on May 3, 2024.
