Canadian Medical Drama Saving Hope With Michael Shanks May Be Coming to NBC

Saving Hope, the supernatural medical drama from Canadian production company Entertainment One, is expected to appear on NBC this summer, according to an article in Deadline. Stargate SG-1 star Michael Shanks plays Dr. Harris, the chief surgeon at a busy fictional Toronto hospital who is simultaneously a comatose patient and a spirit-like presence roaming the hospital, in a plot that sounds similar to the struggling CBS drama A Gifted Man.

Saving Hope also stars Erica Durance (Smallville) and Daniel Gillies (The Vampire Diaries).
