Bullet Train: Brad Pitt Stars in Upcoming Action Film from Deadpool 2 Director

Brad Pitt may have had a small cameo in David Leitch’s Deadpool 2, but now he’s taking a starring role in Leitch’s upcoming film, Bullet Train. The first trailer just dropped, and fans will be in for one star-studded action flick.

An original movie event, Bullet Train is a fun, delirious action-thriller from the director of Deadpool 2, David Leitch. Brad Pitt headlines an ensemble cast of eclectic, diverse assassins – all with connected yet conflicting objectives – set against the backdrop of a non-stop ride through modern-day Japan.

It’s actually been a while since we’ve seen Pitt in an action-focused role, so Bullet Train is quite the surprise.  Besides Pitt, the movie also includes Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Sandra Bullock, Brian Tyree Henry, Joey King, Logan Lerman, Michael Shannon, and Hiroyuki Sanada. Leitch was even able to bring back Deadpool 2 star Zazie Beetz.

With David Leitch having films like John Wick and Atomic Blonde under his belt, we should expect Bullet Train to be another stylized action movie. If anything, it’s kind of fun to watch Pitt do another one of these more character-based roles, and it’s going to be great to see how he bounces off the rest of the cast. I’m not going to focus so much on the story, but when it comes to the action and the world, I’m all in for the ride.
