In the heat of the search for the hacker, Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz) deals with her personal life. Her girlfriend, Jocelyn Pryce (Cameron Esposito) is flying back to her hometown. Because of Rosa’s dedication to her job, Jocelyn wanted more time with her, but sadly, Rosa is unable to meet Jocelyn’s expectations. As Jocelyn threatened to leave, Rosa pushed her job aside despite being at the station in lockdown and talks to Jocelyn about their relationship. NBC

A tough morning greeted the Nine-Nine as they began their shift. Thanks to Jake Peralta’s (Andy Samberg) mastery of Captain Holt’s seemingly unreadable facial expression, they could tell that the Captain is worried. The Nine-Nine indeed faced a problem as a hacker tried to break through the Nine-Nine’s servers. Sergeant Knox (Sean Astin) does what he can to keep the hacker at bay, so Jake, Rosa, Charles Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio), and Terry Jeffords (Terry Crews) swept the building to find the hacker, whom Knox said was in the building but found nothing. When Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero) escapes her dentist’s appointment to help in the case, they finally figure out who the real hacker is.

Cover Up

Sergeant Knox is the real culprit. He knew that none of the detectives would understand the computer jargons, so he kept using them. Also, he comes up with a few diversions to buy himself some time, such as releasing the locks on the holding cells full of sorority girls as well as sending the detectives to an empty briefing room. On top of that, Knox made sure that Amy would not be at the station so that she would not recognize him, given their first encounter. Thanks to Amy’s FOMO, Knox’s plans do not work out well, and they save the case files that Knox wanted to erase.

Mamma Maglione

Dirk Blocker and Joel McKinnon-Miller in Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 6 Episode 14

NBC

Oblivious to what is going on in the station, Hitchcock and Scully went out to buy garlic bread, paired to the Mamma Maglione Lasagna heating up in the microwave. Captain Holt misdials them while he tried to call Jake, so they began to think that their precious Lasagna is in trouble. Jake assures them that the Lasagna is okay and that they are just looking for the hacker. When they got back to the station to heat the garlic bread, Knox held hostage, making them shift their attention to him. By the time the situation was over, the garlic bread got burnt, disappointing Hitchcock and Scully. However, Jake came up with the solution: eat the Lasagna without garlic bread. AT the end of the episode, Hitchcock and Scully silently enjoyed the Lasagna during lunchtime.

‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ Season 6, Episode 14 ‘Ticking Clocks’ Final Verdict

Having the episode run in real time is what made it special. They perfectly created the chaotic, troublesome scenario by making a great plot as well as top-notch dialogues. Also, guest star Sean Astin was a pleasant surprise. Indeed, there never is a dull moment in the life of a police officer, especially in the Nine-Nine. With people like Hitchcock and Scully as well as Jake and Amy running around, the oddest situation becomes almost normal, but never unfunny.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine continues Thursday, May 2nd with ‘Return Of The King’ at 9/8c on NBC.
