Demon’s Poison
Seraphim attacks Zeus while relaxing in the bath and cuts his throat. Hera arrives and praises him for his achievement. The images fade, turning out to be a nightmare created by the Oneiri. Zeus talks to Seraphim in his tent and warns him of Hera’s deceit. Zeus admits leaving him at the palace was a mistake but says he always tried to help him.
He shows Seraphim a vision of giving him food and protecting him from Acrisius’ son. He tells him that Hera led him to kill his mother. Seraphim isn’t sure if he can trust him, so Zeus gives him a coin that can guide him to vengeance.
Chiron leads Alexa’s group to the Fields of the Dead, where the gods fight the giants, and their blood still poisons the earth. He warns them that there’s no going back. They have to move quickly but not run, and they’ll die if they turn back. Alexia tells his master to turn around and go home to his people.
Alexia steps forward, followed by the others. As they approach, the fog thickens, and they lose sight of each other. Kofi sees a group of demons, but Evios warns him they’re not real. They push through, seeing images of giants and demons. One of the warriors looks back and eventually turns into stone. One by one, they’re met with horrifying sights, those who react too quickly share the same fate. But those who ignore the temptations manage to be safe.
Alexia pushes through along with a few others where they find the Labyrinth guarded by a Minotaur, and Heron arrives and kills it.
Vengeance
Zeus’ coin leads Seraphim to a cave underneath a mountain, where he finds Acrisius. The old man apologizes and tells him he would have done the same. Seraphim makes him suffer slowly before beating him to death.
Heron rejoins the group in exploring the Labyrinth. They delve deeper into its tunnels and passages and arrive in a section where fire flows like a river. The map tells them the giant remains should be near, but there’s nothing.
Seraphim appears above them with his group of demons. He tells Heron he’s tired of being a pawn. He appeals to his brother and blames the gods for their mother’s death. Seraphim asks him to join him and end the reign of the gods.
Heron tells his brother that Zeus can turn him back. Seraphim scoffs at this and gives him an ultimatum. Heron refuses, so Seraphim takes the adamantine sword and attacks him. Heron disarms him with his bow, and he calls for their group to run to safety.
The cave collapses under Seraphim’s attacks. Heron, Alexia, Evios, and Kofi ride on the griffin and fly to Olympus.
Hera’s Rage
Hera meets Seraphim and warns him to do as she says. Hermes tries to ambush Here, but he is met by Ares. Apollo joins in distracting Ares while Hermes chases Hera. Apollo loses and is thrown to the sea.
Seraphim takes the Cauldron of Darkness, where he meets its guardian. A fight ensues between them, but he defeats it using the adamantine sword.
When he resurfaces, Hera takes the Cauldron of Darkness and unseals it using Hermes’ gauntlet. The souls of the giants find their old remains, and they emerge from the ocean floor.
Hera goes under the guise of Hermes to trick Zeus and stab him in the neck. The real Hermes arrives and drives her away. Zeus falls and chokes on his blood. Meanwhile, the giants are approaching Olympus.
Our Thoughts:
It seems like everything that could go wrong happens in this episode. I was at the edge of my seat the whole time. On to the finale. I rate this 4/5.
