EXCLUSIVE: THE BLACKLIST is Coming Back and Here's What You Need to Know

With Redemption closing out its concluding episode last week, the stage is finally set for the return of The Blacklist on Thursday night.

The show left us back in February with the stellar "The Apothecary," an episode which saw Red (James Spader) desperately seeking the person responsible for his almost-fatal poisoning, and the collapse of his financial empire.

By the episode's end we knew two things: Red was going to survive, thanks to a last minute save by Liz (Megan Boone), and faithful Dembe (Hisham Tawfiq) was apparently revealed to be the man behind the attack.

So what now?

We've seen the first hour of Thursday's double header a little early, thanks to our friends at NBC, and have prepped a number of teasers for you below. As always, we avoid outright plot point reveals and spoilers (and there are quite a few this Thursday, believe us) that might ruin the live experience for some.

However, one man's teaser is another man's spoiler, as the old saying we just made up goes, so tread carefully either way is our recommendation here.

Here's everything you need to know about The Blacklist's return:

Blasts From the Past

Log lines for the second episode “Requiem” tease that “memories of the past set Red (James Spader) on a dangerous collision course with an enemy determined to destroy his criminal empire.” If that enemy doesn’t scream Kate Kaplan to you then we promise to eat Red’s hat if we’re wrong.

And if it’s not too much of a reveal, the Network also tells us the second hour will revisit some key characters and events from the past and also go back to the day where Red surrendered himself to the FBI in the pilot episode.

In addition, the final words of the first hour gave us straight up chills.

“Lock and load, Katie. Your war has come.”
