Last week some promo images had leaked online to give us a look at Riri Williams’ mech suit from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. While we thought she wasn’t going to get her armor reveal until her Disney+ series, a toy leak has possibly revealed that she’ll be getting her updated suit in the BP sequel.

Some have said that the design looks pretty bland now, but it’s possible that it’s just because of the toy. Come the actual film, I’m sure we’ll get something with a lot more color and detail.
The look definitely has some design elements lifted from the comic version of the outfit, but it does have Iron Man colors rather than the pink, black, and gold from the comics. We can also see that the faceplate is black instead of gold—which I think could be an allusion to Black Panther’s appearance—seeing that this thing could be Wakandan tech.
Personally I would have loved to see more of the massive Metroid shoulders, but I guess the MCU is all about comic-accuracy these days. Who knows, maybe she could get that pink armor at some point, but if she’s going to be the next Iron Man (instead of MCU’s Peter Parker), I think it would make sense to match Tony visually first before branching out into a more original design.
Catch Ironheart when she soars into screens in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever which hits cinemas on Nov. 11.
