Though Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is still a Marvel blockbuster, it’s unmistakable that the movie is also a tribute to the passing of T’Challa actor Chadwick Boseman. With the movie coming out to be one of Marvel’s biggest hits, director Ryan Coogler has shared an open letter for fans for supporting the movie.

Though Marvel movies have recently gotten the reputation of being formulaic, you have to hand it to Wakanda Forever for being able to juggle as many things as it did, from the heavy themes of colonization with the character of Namor, to the struggle of Shuri to take on the mantle after the death of her brother.
They even managed to bring in a little levity with Riri Williams’ character, who I just can’t wait for when the Ironheart show premieres.
While I am in the #RecastTChalla boat, I’m still pretty pleased that we got Wakanda Forever, which felt like a proper sendoff to Boseman as well as a fun popcorn movie with some action and a relevant message for audiences.
Queen Ramonda, Shuri, M’Baku, Okoye and the Dora Milaje fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with Nakia and Everett Ross to forge a new path for their beloved kingdom.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is now screening in theaters.
