After almost 20 years of holy matrimony, the couple reportedly separated. Former “Today” co-host Billy Bush and wife Sydney Davis offered no information on their split. However, Marshall Grossman, Bush’s lawyer, confirmed the couple’s separation. He stated that they are on a short-term break. Grossman also denied reports of infidelity. Bush and Davis have three daughters.
Did The Trump Tape Scandal Play A Part In The Separation?
Billy Bush, related to former presidents George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush, went under fire a year ago when a 2005 conversation with Donald Trump leaked. In the conversation, Trump made controversial and sexist comments about women, to which Bush replied with laughter. The entertainment reporter later apologized for his behavior but still ended up losing his position on the “Today” show.
According to Page Six, sources close to Bush also implied that the scandal led to marriage problems with Davis. The source also stated that Davis was angry that Bush had embarrassed her and their daughters.
However, other representatives of Bush state that Davis did not leave him. They deny reports of infidelity but confirm the split. “After almost 20 years of marriage, they have separated for the moment to evaluate their life together. They love each other and their children deeply and are committed to a bright future,” Bush’s spokesperson said.
