The Search
The All-Organism council meeting convenes to discuss Cherryton Highschool’s situation and how they haven’t had a Beastar for the past few years. Rouis’ status as a favorite has since faded after missing school lately. Headmaster Gon insists on not forcing themselves to find a Beaststar since heroes are supposed to be born.
On top of that, there’s the matter of the devouring incident on school grounds. They can’t risk the chance of having the Beastar be the perpetrator. According to the police, they might still be living on campus. The students are still in danger, so the majority of the council decides to give the Beastar award to anyone who can solve the mystery of Tem’s murder.
Legoshi faces the creature he has been sensing for a while, who turns out to be a large rattlesnake with six eyes on its skin. She’s impressed by the wolf’s bold stature and physical features. The snake introduces herself as the security of the school, Six Eyes.
Six Eyes knows Legoshi. She points out that Haru aroused Legoshi in the past. She senses Legoshi‘s strong presence and is intrigued by him. When asked why she’s mostly invisible as a security guard, Six Eyes replies she’s ashamed of his limbless structure. She constricts Legoshi, wanting to find out what it feels like to have limbs.
Legoshi strokes her scales and sympathizes with her feelings. This proves too much for Six Eyes, who runs away to lead him where Tem died. She enlists Legoshi’s help to find the murderer with his unique capabilities.
Six Eyes refuses to give Legoshi any information on the murderer, trusting that Legoshi can figure it out through his brilliance. Legoshi starts looking around.
Manhunt
Legoshi wants to talk to Tem’s friends during lunch, but he’s too afraid to approach them. Jack takes his phone and adds them to his social. He connects with Els and their friend Carl to ask if Tem had trouble with anyone during his final moments. Sadly, it leads to nothing.
Legoshi then surveys the school grounds at night to speak to a frequent runner who might have been there the night of Tem’s murder. He also figures out that the kangaroo has been stealing girls’ gym clothes. A fight ensues between them which ends with Legosi easily pinning him down.
Later, some students congratulate Legoshi for catching Roger, who turns out to be from the Boxer Club. Carl gives Legoshi Tem’s diary. Legoshi finds out Tem was having frequent meetings with an unnamed carnivore friend.
Going Up
Legoshi reports to Six Eyes, telling her he’s all in on the job since he has the responsibility as a highly capable wolf. As a result, the rattlesnake tells him the clue resides in him.
Elsewhere, the Shishigumi is negotiating a butcher turtle for half the profits in exchange for protection. He laughs, knowing the weakened state of their organization, but they insist they’ve changed. The turtle doesn‘t care and tells them he must talk to their boss if they want a deal. They introduce their new leader, Rouis. The turtle can’t believe the rumors are true.
Rouis gets an edge in negotiations due to his herbivore heritage. The shopkeeper feels flustered since his establishment sells deer meat. Rouis tells him they are not defined by their carnivore or herbivore status, but whether or not they are winners or losers.
Rouis contemplates his quest to find true strength, and the pact he made with the lion gang on the ride back home. He threatens to shoot the driver, who looks at him like food.
Our Thoughts
With Six Eyes coiling around Legoshi and Rouis charming the butcher, this anime always manages to bring the spice. 4/5.
