Batgirl Star Leslie Grace Shares Some New BTS Photos Following Movie’s Cancelled Release

It’s still quite a shock that the new management of WB would cancel the release of Batgirl on any platform, and a lot of people involved with the making of the movie have gone online to express their disappointment.

Leslie Grace, who was cast as the star, has been on the spotlight since the cancellation, and she’s decided to share some behind-the-scenes photos from the making of Batgirl. Check these out:

Grace also writes in the caption, “To every Batgirl fan—THANK YOU for the love and belief, allowing me to take on the cae and become, as Babs said best, “my own damn hero!”

For now, fans are rallying for WB to #ReleaseBatgirl, and though we have no official statement from WB regarding the fan backlash, I am hopeful that we could see another #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement—no matter how exhausting the first one felt.

With Batgirl having wrapped filming and the movie close to the final stages of post-production, it was certainly odd that WB would decide to pull the film out from any release. Reports have said that test screenings were comparable to reactions to Shazam! 2 and Black Adam, so it probably means that the movie isn’t as bad as some speculate it to be. I mean, Sony released Morbius in theaters twice, and that was an infamously terrible film.

I guess fans will just have to keep the online campaign for now. Who knows, maybe the new WB heads will reconsider in a few months (or years).

Batgirl has been pulled from its 2022 release and has no new release date.
