WWE Superstar and Diva Ashley Massaro Dies at 39

Ashley Massaro, a former WWE Diva, and competitor of Survivor: China has died today. The WWE Superstar was 39 years old.
An official cause of death is yet to be revealed by the authorities, but the WWE Star was rushed to Suffolk County Medical Examiner in NYC. According to The Blast, Massaro’s death is currently under investigation.
According to officials, a “rescue call” came in from Massaro’s home in Smithtown at 5:23 AM Thursday and was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital where she eventually passed away. Police classify the death as “non-criminal” and no foul play was committed although the incident is still under investigation.
Ashley Massaro’s WWE Diva Rise
Massaro rose to fame after winning the WWE Diva Search in 2005. She went on to fight in famous matches such as the WWE Women’s Championship against Melina in 2007 and the Playboy BunnyMania LumberJill match in 2008. She also appeared on the Playboy magazine cover of April 2007.
WWE released an official statement regarding the WWE Diva’s death, saying, “We are saddened to learn of the tragic death of former WWE Superstar Ashley Massaro. WWE offers its condolences to Ashley’s family and friends.”
Massaro’s friends and colleagues in the industry shared their deepest sympathies for the Diva’s sudden death, expressing their grief and shock at Massaro’s abrupt passing:
