STRANGER THINGS Season 3: A Terrifying New Foe, Plus Everyone’s Moved on Except Will

Stranger Things season 3 hits Netflix this July, reacquainting us with startling my, look how you’ve grown! versions of Mike, Lucas, Dustin, Will, Eleven and Max … and a terrifying new Big Bad (my, look how you’ve grown) from the Upside Down.
The year is 1985, and fresh from his return from Summer camp, a new teaser trailer sees Dustin pranked by the gang in what should be an adorable ‘the gang’s back together’ moment, but which goes horribly (but hilariously) wrong instead.
Meanwhile, Steve Harrington is serving soft whip at the local mall, Billy the bully is now working as a lifeguard at a local pool (I mean, what could possibly go wrong?) Hop is absolutely rocking an 80’s tache, and even Eleven and Max are getting along.
The events of the past seem to finally be a distant memory, with Mike remarking to someone off screen (we’re guessing it’s Will) “We’re not children anymore. What did you think? That we were just going to sit in my basement and play games for the rest of our lives?”
Well, yeah, Mike. We kinda did.
However there is one Hawkins resident who isn’t quite feeling all those teenage kicks. Will is seen, not only lamenting the loss of his once tight-knit friendship with Dustin, Mike and Lucas, but also sporting a strange mark on his forearm that practically screams The Upside Down.
Season 3 sees returning cast member Priah Ferguson now recurring as Lucas’ precocious little sister Erica, while Maya Hawke has also been cast as new addition Robin.
Robin is described as an alternative girl who is equal parts sharp and playful. Bored with her mundane day job, she just wants a little excitement in her life… and gets more than she bargained for when she uncovers a dark secret in Hawkins.
Stranger Things returns for season 3 on July 4 2019 on Netflix.
