Fans of Colton Haynes’ Roy Harper are in for a huge revelation. The actor just confirmed on Twitter that he will be returning to “Arrow” Season 6.
Back when Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) started as the “Green Arrow,” he was sure that he would be doing it alone. Over time, though, he needed to enlist the help of John Diggle (David Ramsey) and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards). And as the threats that Oliver needed to face increased, his team did as well. Enter Roy Harper, one of Oliver’s most faithful team members and Green Arrow’s official sidekick, Arsenal. Eventually, Roy had to take up the mantle of “Arrow” and fake his own death to protect Oliver’s identity.
Since then, Roy made a handful of appearances throughout “Arrow.” But since season 4, Roy was nowhere to be seen—until now.

Next month, we’ll finally get to see the return of “Arrow” on The CW. As to Haynes’ “soon,” it’s currently unclear when that will be but judging by the new season premiere, it’s also likely that we’ll get to see him back this year. Roy was also absent during the 100th episode of “Arrow,” which bummed some fans as well. Hopefully, this return would make up for lost time.
Roy’s big return could also greatly affect the other characters involved. Thea will certainly be the first one to feel the effects of his return since he is her ex-boyfriend and she’s no longer a part of Team Arrow. Maybe this could also usher in Arsenal’s return. There’s also an unfinished beef between Slade Wilson/Deathstroke and Roy, so we have yet to see where that would play out once Arsenal returns.
“Arrow” Season 6 premieres Thursday, October 12 at 9 PM on The CW.
