It’s a major shake-up for America’s Got Talent Season 14. Brooklyn Nine-Nine‘s Terry Crews, Bring It On’s Gabrielle Union, and Dancing with the Stars’ Julianne Hough will join the hit reality show’s crew, reports Variety.
Crews will take over hosting duties from Tyra Banks, with the latter hosting America’s Got Talent from season 12 to 13, replacing Nick Cannon’s eight-season run in the talent show. Crews, however, is no stranger to the AGT stage. He’s also currently hosting America’s Got Talent: The Champions. This marks his official move to the main talent show.
Union and Hough will be replacing Heidie Klum and Mel B on the judges’ panel. Hough is also a familiar face when it comes to talent shows like AGT. She most notably won as Dancing with the Stars twice and has dance role background with her previous roles in Footloose and the live-TV movie adaptation of Grease. Union, on the other hand, traces her moves back in the 2000 movie Bring it On.
Altogether, Crews, Union, and Hough joins show creator Simon Cowell and judge Howie Mandell.
“One of the many secrets to the success and longevity of ‘America’s Got Talent’ is its fearless drive to reinvent itself,” NBC President for the Alternative and Reality Group Meredith Ahr said in a statement Monday. “The next evolution of the format brings in fresh expert eyes to join Simon and Howie on the panel. Gabrielle and Julianne are two of the most aspirational women in the business, on top of being electric entertainers with talent across disciplines. I am excited to see how their knowledge, compassion and sheer joy enhance the experience for acts and viewers alike. As their partner in crime, host Terry Crews will continue to light up the stage with his quick wit and unending charm.”
