America’s Got Talent: Angelica Hale’s Epic ‘Clarity’ Cover Will Blow You Away

It’s another great day for “America’s Got Talent” as judges and audiences alike were evidently impressed by tonight’s performance from Angelica Hale. She gave a deeply emotional and hair-raising performance of Zedd’s “Clarity.”

Judge Mel B said that Hale’s rendition of “Clarity” was an amazing choice for her, ultimately giving all the justice that it deserved. Every note and slur made the song mean something powerful. Heidi Klum loved Hale’s song choice and said that she nailed by hitting the high notes perfectly.

Angelica Hale’s Massive Voice on ‘America’s Got Talent’

Hale’s performance began with her standing in a cosmic array of blue lights. She then broke into a heartfelt cover of “Clarity.” Her awesome voice built up into a mesmerizing crescendo as her high notes hit at the right time, which, in the end, impressed the judges immensely.

“You’re so small, but you’ve got this massive voice,” Mel B said. And just as the former Spice Girls member was about to cry, she laughed and thanked Hale for her song while adding, “I’m not going to cry” as she turned her back to fight her tears.

Before Hale took to the stage to perform, a reel was shown how far she has come in her journey in “America’s Got Talent.” When Hale was four, her parents rushed her to the hospital and found out that she had double pneumonia and her kidneys had stopped working. The doctors told her parents that she was going to die soon, but her mother became the hero and donated one of her kidneys for Hale.

“I would sing to all the nurses and doctors,” Hale said. “Singing just took me away from all the bad things that were happening to me.” Simon Cowell also said that Angelica is a very, very special girl. “I mean when you watched that film, and you see what you’ve gone through, my god.”

Hale advanced to the live rounds when she got the Golden Buzzer for her performance of Alicia Keys’ “Girl on Fire.”
