A lot of people are excited for the return of Better Call Saul later this month, and to get into the April Fool’s spirit, American Greed has released a parody episode covering the fake rise and fall of Jimmy McGill a.k.a. Saul Goodman.
Watch this:
What’s great is, they actually got actors from Better Call Saul to reprise their recurring roles for this episode. You’ll recognize all the lawyers that have interacted with Jimmy several times in the series. They even managed to bring back the Kettlemans, who were one of the most memorable ‘villains’ of the first season of BCS.
With Breaking Bad considered to have nailed the landing when it comes to television, a lot of hopes are being put up on Better Call Saul to do the same. While it was originally conceived as a comedy spinoff, it has gone to gain a lot of critical acclaim for some solid drama and stellar writing and cinematography. Who knew that a series about a comedic supporting character could end up so compelling?
We’ve only gotten one short preview for the final season of BCS, but hopefully we get another fuller trailer right before the premiere. Then again, we could be treading pretty close to spoiler territory, so maybe it’s great we’re not seeing so much of the next season. If anything, Peter Gould and Vince Gilligan have this show in the bag.
Better Call Saul premieres on AMC this April 18.
