Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt is reuniting with The Magnificent Seven director Antoine Fuqua for a series adaptation of Jack Carr’s “The Terminal List” as Amazon officially picks it up for a straight-to-series order.
The new Amazon series will follow Pratt as former Navy SEAL James Reece who returns home after his entire platoon is ambushed during a covert operation. Upon reuniting with his family, Reece suffers from conflicting memories of the event and blames himself for it. But as new evidence is uncovered, he discovers dark forces at work—out for the lives of everyone he loves, including his own.
According to Amazon, “the series values the life experiences and perspectives that the stories of U.S. military veterans bring, starting with a writing staff where half the writers are either veterans themselves or have veterans in their families.”
The Terminal List will also enlist real-life veterans to work on the behind-the-scenes aspects in an effort to elevate the series’ authenticity.
Aside from starring, Pratt will executive produce the series under his Indivisible Pictures banner, with Fuqua doing double duties as director and executive producer under Fuqua Films. David DiGilio has been tapped to write the series and executive produce alongside Fuqua.
