A Targaryen Dynasty Rises in New Teaser for House of the Dragon

Daenerys Targaryen may have fizzled out on TV, but her family is still full of very interesting characters. This August will see the premiere of the spinoff House of the Dragon, and we have a new teaser showing off the ancient Targaryens at the height of their power.

We don’t have a fully synopsis for the series yet, but we do have the ominous tagline: “History does not remember blood. It remembers names.”

Though we know that the Targaryens are the main focus of the show, the series has confirmed that we’re going to be seeing other ancient families including the Starks. We should be able to see other Houses from the original series, and I’m eager to come back to specific locations like the Wall or maybe even Harrenhal.

While Game of Thrones had run out of source material by the end of its run, House of the Dragon has the convenience of being based on a finished book. While we should expect some things to be changed around when it comes to the adaptation, I think fans will be pleased to know that the showrunners will have a lot to pull from—let’s just hope that the studio gives their full support.

With so many people to this day still complaining about how Game of Thrones ended, I am open for a chance to come back to the world of Westeros. Let’s hope House of Dragon manages to build up the same hype.
