A Crew Attempts to Shoot an Action Movie Mid-Pandemic in Trailer for Judd Apatow's The Bubble

While Netflix is set to release the anime film Bubble in late April, the beginning of the month is actually going to see the release of a movie from Judd Apatow called The Bubble which will follow a film crew as they attempt to make an action movie in the middle of the pandemic.

Watch this:

Netflix has actually been pretty creative with the marketing for The Bubble, with first reveals being that of Cliff Beasts 6—the fictional movie that the characters in the film are trying to make. While some were wondering what Cliff Beasts was, it was already a hint that the actors in the promos were being introduced as their characters in The Bubble, and not by their actual names.

While there were already attempts to try and make pandemic-themed movies in the middle of COVID-19 (like Songbird starring K.J. Apa), I guess this one will be the first comedy that will give us a look at what it was like for some people during the height of the pandemic. Though things felt pretty apocalyptic at the time, I guess now we can kind of look at it through a different lens, seeing that we’ve distanced ourselves from the worst of it (hopefully).

The Bubble is a comedy about a group of actors and actresses stuck inside a pandemic bubble at a hotel attempting to complete a sequel to an action franchise film about flying dinosaurs.

Judd Apatow’s The Bubble comes to Netflix on April Fool’s Day April 1.
