80 for Brady: Golden Girls Meets Football in Hilarious New Trailer

Football is probably one of the most testosterone-fuelled past times in the US today, so what business do four 80-year-old ladies have to do with the NFL? Apparently, it’s a premise for what sounds like a fun comedy film.

Based on a true story, 80 for Brady finds four senior women on a journey to get tickets to the Super Bowl—specifically Tom Brady’s last.  The film stars Hollywood icons Rita Moreno, Sally Field, Lily Tomlin, and Jane Fonda. Watch this:

80 FOR BRADY is inspired by the true story of four best friends living life to the fullest when they take a wild trip to the 2017 Super Bowl LI to see their hero Tom Brady play.

It’s said that the movie is based on a true story, but the film is sure to add some more comedic elements to make sure that you don’t have to be over 80 to enjoy the film. Besides the four Hollywood legends in the cast, the movie also has cameos from Billy Porter and Guy Fieri; Tom Brady is also playing himself was also being attached to the film as a producer.

Though I don’t know what to expect with Kyle Marvin at the helm, I do like the idea of the script coming from Booksmart scribes Emily Halpern and Sarah Haskins. With Booksmart being a surprisingly heartfelt movie, I wonder if 80 for Brady manages to do the same.

80 for Brady is set to release in theaters on Feb. 3, 2023.
