7 Things to Know About SLEEPY HOLLOW’S “Awakening”

We're fresh off an advance screening of Sleepy Hollow's penultimate episode of the season and frankly we're a little excited.
"Awakening" is, in our opinion, not only the best episode of the show to date (serving as a clever bookend to the pilot) but one which we know will both excite and divide fans at the same time.
The Network has teased that the episode will see "Ichabod and Abbie fighting against those who want to re-awaken a powerful witch coven" but trust us, that log line is just the tip of the spear. This installment is packed with so many plot and character developments that we're not sure where the show will possibly go in its final episode next week.
We've selected 5 teasers for you below (being very careful to keep you spoiler free on all major plot points) to help ready you for what's to come this week and next, but if we're being honest, nothing's going to properly prepare you for this one.
6. Heavy Losses For Ichabod
Ichabod kicks off this instalment in a practically chipper mood as he contemplates how best to take down those responsible for attempting to raise a coven of witches in Sleepy Hollow.
Reminiscing about his past (apparently Ichabod was responsible for cracking the Liberty Bell) and amusing himself with power tools in a local DIY store, Ichabod is on form this week.
“Sometimes old school is these best school,” he tells Abbie when she suggests buying a lighter over flint and steel, before excitedly exclaiming “Ooh batteries!”
However this is most definitely a case of the calm before the storm. Ichabod is about to lose the three most important things in his life this week.
