5 Things to Know About Bones

Now that we’ve all had a moment to digest the excitement and drama that was the Bones Spring Premiere return, we can finally look ahead to next Thursday’s episode.

In April 2nd’s “The Teacher in the Books” the team investigate the murder of a wealthy school teacher whose body is discovered by a couple of opportunistic thieves in an abandoned bookstore.

While Brennan and intern Jessica Warren (guest star Laura Spencer) work to find clues on the victim’s bones, Booth and Aubrey realize that the list of suspects is surprisingly large, comprising fellow teachers, students, the school janitor and even the victim’s loving boyfriend.

We’ve seen the episode a little earlier than most, thanks to our friends at FOX, and have 5 teasers to share with you.

As usual, no major spoilers! We want you to enjoy this episode as much as we did.

Here then are 5 things to know about “The Teacher in the Books”

Brennan Takes to Twitter

If we’re being honest, we could probably have simply titled this entire article “Brennan Takes to Twitter” and be done with it. There are just so many comedy moments ripe for the picking in this sub-plot we could fill a book.

The fun starts when Brennan’s publisher suggests joining the social media platform as a way to boost sales and connect with fans. However after several tweets and only 10 followers, Brennan has to concede that perhaps Twitter is something she’s just not good at.

Here are just a few of our favorite Brennan/Twitter comedy gold moments from “The Teacher in the Books.”

  • Labelling all of her tweets Tweet 1, Tweet 2, Tweet 3 …
  • Using ‘Selfie’ as a verb.
  • Showing a propensity for polysyllabic words. (How short those tweets must be!)
  • Hash-tagging a tweet as #WhimsicallyAmusing.
  • Genuinely wondering how to “say anything of substance in 140 characters or less?” (We feel your pain, Bones.)
