Airing jan. 21, “Close Encounters” sees the Liars getting closer to Alison only to discover that A has beaten them to it once again.

Meanwhile, Hanna struggles to put her romantic past behind her, and may be succeeding – with a little help from Travis (Luke Kleintank).

And in a surprising twist, Shana returns with news concerning Ali but will only trust Emily. Can Shana really be trusted?
