Last month, a fan cast of Keke Palmer as the new Rogue from X-Men went viral, and Palmer herself had shown interest in the role. With everyone going showing off their Halloween costumes online, Palmer has went full Rogue cosplay, and has even posted up a skit of herself in character.
Watch this:
She also posted some edited photos as well:
Palmer doesn’t seem to be wearing any specific design from the comics, but the costume does have a lot of Rogue’s trademark appearance, from the leather jacket, to the white streaks in her hair. They even tried their best to give her that big 80s hair-do.
Just in case you’re curious, here was the fan cast that Palmer reposted last September:

Though we’re pretty sure that Marvel has their own casting process, it’s obvious that they also keep track of what the fans are saying online—that’s essentially how they got John Krasinski to play Mr. Fantastic in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
With Storm being the most dominant black woman character in X-Men, the fan cast of Palmer is actually pretty spot-on for Rogue, seeing that she could pull off a southern accent and sport that huge hair. Now it’s only a question of who could play Palmer’s Gambit, because I think Channing Tatum could be too old for the part now (then again, I would have loved to see concept art for his cancelled Gambit movie).
We don’t have official updates on Palmer’s Rogue casting, but Marvel is slowly building up to Mutants. The next film, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, comes out Nov. 11.
