10-Minute Silent Track Takes Over The iTunes Top 50 Chart

A song that’s roughly about 10 minutes of silence has broken through Apple’s iTunes Top 50 charts, ranking high alongside Ed Sheeran and Keith Urban’s tracks. The surprising breakout hit, “A a a a Very Good Song” by New York-based reporter Samir Mezrahi, is actually a clever trick that the Mezrahi has come up to avoid the annoying bugs that iTunes sometimes has as you sync your phone’s music to your car’s Bluetooth stereo.
It turns out that drivers and passengers found out that once they plug their iPhones into the stereo system, songs would automatically play in alphabetical order—regardless of how you want each song to be played in sequence.
A Smart iTunes Bug Fix
To avoid this frustrating error, Mezrahi created and published a song that goes on for ten minutes and contains—well, duh—silence. The title “A a a a” was done on purpose so that it would always be the first song that plays in the alphabetical order. A very smart idea as it gives you ample time to scroll through your library to play whatever song you want.

However, Android phone owners share the same dilemma as well. Android users have made similar complaints about their Bluetooth car stereo, and the scope of the problems includes other car models.
Of course, there are a couple of other ways where you can eliminate this iTunes bug. For one thing, you can just turn off the autoplay option in your car’s speaker system. You can also disable CarPlay on your iPhone. But with this addition of a silent track on iTunes, it’s actually a stress-free and popular way of solving the problem.
The song has become widely viral that as of this writing, “A a a a Very Good Song” is currently sitting at spot number 35 on the iTunes Top 50 charts.
