Is this Secret Circle Alum the Latest SHADOWHUNTERS Addition?

Rumor has it that Secret Circle alum Adam J. Harrington is the latest star to covertly join the swelling ranks of ABC Family’s Shadowhunters.

Although the star and Network have yet to formally comment on speculation, eagle-eyed Shadowhunters fans spotted a recent (but since removed*) Instagram video from Shadowhunters stunt coordinator S. Johnstone Lucescu which allegedly showed “Jace” (Dominic Sherwood) and “Michael Wayland” (Harrington) going through their paces as they learned some “specific choreography for an upcoming scene.”

Although the video clearly shows Harrington and Sherwood sparring, little else is known at this point. However, based on the evidence at hand, it does seem likely that Harrington has joined the cast.

Based on the Mortal Instruments book series by Cassandra Clare, Shadowhunters centers on the 18-year-old Clary Fray (Katherine McNamara), who discovers on her birthday that she comes from a long line of Shadowhunters — human-angel hybrids who are tasked with hunting down demons.

When Clary’s mother is kidnapped, Clary finds herself thrown into the perilous world of demon hunting alongside the mysterious Shadowhunter Jace and her best friend Simon.

Living among faeries, warlocks, vampires and werewolves, Clary begins a journey of self-discovery as she learns more about her past and what her future may hold.

Michael Wayland is described as an “extremely handsome man with a square jaw and curling hair.” In book lore Wayland was a Shadowhunter, former member of the Circle, and father of Jace, raised as Jonathan after Wayland’s identity was assumed by Valentine Morgenstern.

Harrington would join recent cast additions Alberto Rosende as Simon Lewis, Emeraude Toubia as Isabelle Lightwood, Matthew Daddario as Alec Lightwood, Harry Shum, Jr. as Magnus Bane, and Isaiah Mustafa as Luke Garroway.

We haven’t seen a cast this gorgeous since The Secret Circle.

Shadowhunters premieres 2016 on ABC Family.
